JUNK but not worth the cost to return | |
| Bought two. One was dead out of box, the other intermittent. With sale price it would have cost as much to return as it cost. Might dissect one if looking to kill time some day. | ||

A good, simple scale. | |
| I purchased this scale from MPJA for $3.95. It doesnt come with a manual except for what is printed under the cover, but you dont need one. If you have used an electronic scale before, there are no surprises. Ounces, grams, pennyweight, Troy ounces, grains, and carats. The clock function lets you use the scale for something else when youre not weighing something. Or lets you drain your battery, however you want to look at it. Everything worked as expected. | ||

| Problem: Batteries are loose in holder, wont maintain contact. Fix: Folded a piece of paper towel 3 times & put under batt cover, works OK. Problem: Touch light wont work with cover on. Fix: Made antenna from tube of 40mm wide aluminum foil wrapped 3 times around pencil dont smash it flat! attached to inside of cover over hot spot with a tab of tape on the ends, works OK. Checked scale accuracy with 20 US quarters 4 Oz, scale read 3.997, close enough for govt. work, didnt check upper end of range though. Clock is 24 hour only so if youre setting in afternoon be sure to add 12 hours 4:00 PM = 16:00, dont know about accuracy yet. CON: Cover has to be removed to use scale, good luck if you dont have good fingernails, cost a star. Overall: great bargain for 6 bucks. | ||
